Venturing into a new era of sustainability for Latex Products, Control Union Certifications is introducing the “Global Organic Latex Standard”, which will be referred to as “GOLS”.
In recent years Control Union Certifications has received an ample number of requests for an Organic standard for Latex products
Having understood their need of an industry standard, Control Union Certifications came forward to introduce this world’s first standard for Organic Latex products.
The GOLS standard set guidelines to the minimum requirements for Latex Products which are prepared from organic raw material as per sustainable processing methods
This mainly addresses the standards which need to be maintained with relevance to processing, manufacturing, packing, labeling, trading and distribution of latex products. In addition to the use of organic raw material, this standard also concentrates on aspects such as human health, safety and welfare, and environment in the manufacturing process of latex products.
We are hopeful that GOLS will provide basis for the industry to recognize products with Organic reference.
